Dear Menorah Park Foundation Stakeholders,

 

I wanted to share with you some exciting news as we move the Foundation forward into its next chapter. After months of careful consideration, the board of the Menorah Park Foundation unanimously voted to become a supporting foundation of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.

 

We firmly believe this strategic repositioning will enable the Menorah Park Foundation to continue its long-standing mission of addressing the needs of older adults in the community in an efficient and effective manner. As a supporting foundation of the Federation, we will benefit from Federation’s deep knowledge of the Jewish community in Northeast Ohio; its unwavering commitment to serving the evolving needs of aging Jewish Clevelanders; and its experience partnering with foundations such as ours.

In fact, as you may have read in the Cleveland Jewish News, Federation recently launched an Older Adult Task Force that will provide invaluable insight into the critical needs of this segment and the collaborative ways to best meet them.

 

We anticipate that our first grants as a Federation supporting foundation will be made in the first half of 2025 as several additional steps remain to complete this transition. Throughout this process we will continue to communicate with Foundation donors and their families about the Foundation’s priorities and most effective use of the assets entrusted to the Foundation.  As a result of this development, we have updated the FAQs document on our website.
